March 29, 2006: Latest GrandView Release includes sidebar Search
We listened to your suggestions and added a sidebar search to GrandView. This capability greatly enhances reaching critical information in the Contacts, Files, Projects and Status Log areas of GrandView. We also redesigned the Expenses module, making it much more intuitive. See the entire list of updates made here.
March 2, 2005: Purchasing and invoicing added
Project invoicing and purchasing was only available to
RoviSys employees in the form of an add-on client application which needed to be installed on each PC. Now this much-needed capability has been added to the GrandView web application and made available to all GrandView users wherever there's an internet connection. This "new" release is inherently solid, since RoviSys has been using invoicing and purchasing for a number of years; the data tables were not modified in this conversion. The key features in this release include:

Supplier Parts - Allows part lists to be created for each supplier, making these parts available for use on purchase orders. If the part price or description is changed by anyone, all users get the benefit of referencing that updated part.

Purchase Orders - Allows users to create purchase orders for their projects using either existing parts or custom line items. Theses purchase orders can then be printed out for project manager approval.

Receiving - Allows purchase orders to be edited to indicate freight/tax changes and update part prices paid. Receiving personnel can also mark quantities received or returned, mark the purchase order as billed and update the received date or shipped from address.

Invoicing - Allows projects to be billed to the customer either as a general invoice or percent invoice. A new invoice can be created from a previous one - a great time-saver. Once the invoice is paid, check number, amount and date can be easily recorded.
